Can a Virus take a hitch in your car?

…That frightening prospect has had Internet message boards buzzing this year, amid rumors that a virus had infected Lexus cars and SUVs. The virus supposedly entered the cars over the Bluetooth wireless link that lets drivers use their cell phones to carry on hands-free conversations through the cars’ microphones and speakers…

You were driving a hundred and eighty in a 30 miles zone

* NEWS FLASH *

Anything that runs Windows is going to have security problems. The more things that run Windows, the more things you’re going to see security problems in where there were none before. Not until they started throwing WinCE on cell phones did you see virii on phones, and of course the same is true for cars. Where’s the news here?

…Sorry for my bad attitude, it’s just that I’ve been saying since the iPaq that WindowsCE was going to be the death of us. It’s a stripped down, low form factor version of Windows which has all of the security holes and yet is almost impossible for a user to manage security-wise. Bad, bad idea.

I wouldn’t say the cell phone thing is true. I has been the Symbian OS that is getting hit with the viruses there.

Really? I’ve heard about quite a few cases of WinCE phones being infected or hacked.

Link to an article on one of the nastier Symbian viruses.

Scary thing with the Symbian viruses is they are all being designed to spread via Bluetooth.

I’ve heard about symbian viruses as well. I was thinking of CE viruses.
