For some reason I haven’t been able to change the actual thread title on any of my threads that I’ve started. It will change the actual big bold text above the post but not the title we all click on. It’s no big deal but what if I made a major spelling error or somehow managed to type the f word in by accident, anything could happen. 
Yeh as far as I know only mods can change title names

Yeah, I guess that was a little obvious, though I can’t say I understand why users can’t change the title themselves other than the fact that it might throw off people a little when they cant find a thread that was there before because the name changed.
Simply be careful what you name the thread as. Don’t put football scores as the title while the games still on etc.
I do that 
You get 5 mins to change the thread title after which only mods can change it.
