After installed WIN XP the CD ROM can’t read CD and not configured.

Check to see that your CD-ROM drive is fully connected to your motherboard via PATA/SATA cable. Sometimes, it may get loose. Next, check to see if your motherboard requires a certain driver for your drive. If you still have the CD that came with your board, it should contain SMBUS drivers and might contain drivers for the drive.
