computer doesn't recognise flash drive: HELP

Hello,

I have a problem with a flash drive from Transcend: Flash Drive 2.0
Until this morning it worked great, but tonigh my computer didn’t recognise it anymore.
He doesn’t find it and so I can’t do anything with it.
There are important files on that flash drive and I was wondering if there is a way that I can get the files back? Maybe they can open it in a computer store and check it? I don’t know actually and that’s why I post this.

Is there a way of will I never get those files back?

Thanks for the replies and your time!!!

if it doesnt work on other computers then im sorry to say it’s broke.

but if it does work on other computers, but not yours:

SINARIO 1:
take out the USB drive and press <PAUSE/BREAK> to bring up system properties, then click the Hardware tab, then Device Manager, click on the Disk Drives tab and delete anything to do with USB or eUSB or “Flash” in there, click the little computer and then insert the USB drive back in. Ding-dong, it should find it.

SINARIO 2:
If you did the above or had trouble finding the USB or Flash drive in device manager then you could have a problem with your USB ports, which needs a different fix, get back to us if the above fails

<PAUSE/BREAK>

or <Pause/Break> also displays system properties

BTW: also look for any yellow exclamation marks in device manager

oh yeah lol :doh:
