Computer Lighting control?

I am setting up my new fully functional lan room at the moment  and I am thinking about using my computer to control the lighting systems and possibly the blinds etc

Sadly I have no idea how to go about such a thing… I think it will be awsome If I can pull it off… Any ideas?

Smarthome sells USB-based home automation interfaces for controlling lights, appliances, heating/air conditioning systems and alarm systems. The devices include on-board processing for downloading timers and macros.

It doesn’t say anything about controlling the blinds, but it might help you think in the right direction,

Greetings

Marcel

This is the site that I found when I was looking, but unfortuatly I am based in the UK and those are all American appliances :frowning:

what you need is x10, I think its the cheapest option, you will need a x10 computer interface to control the devices from your computer.
