I am looking for a hardware/software solution to enable a single computer to output display to a matrix of 9/12/16 LCD monitor or TV screens.

Are you looking for something like this? Video Splitter, Distribution Amplifier or Video Splitter?- SmartVM They say the vga video splitter can output up to 90 monitors from one pc, at least in the description they are giving.
Video splitter manual says , it can display same image or view on multiple screens. However i have a requirement to open 9 different instances of a browser on same computers and display each of them on separate screen. It like extending ur laptop’s desktop onto ur spare monitor, only difference is that in this case we need to extend it to 9 or more screens.
