Right, my pc has been acting weird for about 5 months (for no particular reason) it would pop up stop errors about 3 - 5 times a week, i wouldnt mind but usually im busy with something and i have to reset and iād lose everything i was working on
sometimes the errors would show different files in the blue screen, other times it would say:
Technical Information⦠(lots of numbers)
āBeginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete.

I posted a post on HWF about a month ago but they said to check the system logs but it didnt log anything suspicious
last time i reinstalled windows was maybe 2 months ago, but it was still stop-erroring before it
i searched a code and it mentioned the ram, but i ran memtest (or something) overnight and it didnt come up with any errors.
my ram is set to 4-4-4-12, it says this on the corsor (canny spell) sticks, but by default its set to 5-5-5-(32) - (or something similar) could this be a problem if i change the default to the manufactures specs
Are you giving your ram the correct voltage? Mine needed .3v more than the motherboard was giving it and nearly all my problems stopped when i realised this and rectified it.
apparently according to my manufacturerās website the ram is 1.9v
Test Specs
⢠Each module pair is tested together in an Intel-based motherboard at 675MHz
⢠Tested and packaged in pairs
⢠Packaged together immediately following system test
⢠Tested at JEDEC-standard latency settings (4-4-4-12) at 1.9V
⢠SPD programmed at JEDEC standard 5-5-5-15 values
^^ hmm, āJEDEC Standard 5-5-5-15ā ?? :s iāve changed the voltage to 1.92v and timings to 5-5-5-12
stop errors occur every so oftern, i was slightly overestimating 3 - 5 times a week as i was in a mood, its more like once a week or 3 times a month, that would be more accurate.
ill let you know if it does it again
thanks for help!
