i began using a dual screen setup the other day and i was wondering if it is possible to have a different wallpaper for each of the 2 monitors thx
yes it is, go to Display Properties > Settings > Extend my desktop to this monitor
which should be monitor two, I hope this helps.
what you said is how to setup a dual display. i have already done that though. what i need now is to know how to display a “different” wallpaper on the 2nd display. thx
ok, this is a little trick I read about on the web
Display Properties > Desktop > Customize Desktop > Web tab
Select New and browse to the image location > Click OK
Now drag the image over to the second desktop and from the image’s pull down menu in the upper left-hand corner select Cover Desktop.
Right click > Arrange By and “Lock web items on desktop”.
Now you should be able to select a different wallpaper for the primary monitor.
That will only slow down your computer.
I run a program called: UltraMon.
With this program you can control allmost everything with dual monitors.
You can download it from: www.download.com
Just search for UltraMon.
Hope this will help you!
