DVD Drive is not listed anymore after installing win xp x64

Hey people!
I just deleted my Windows 7 x64 and put on a Windows XP 64 bit edition. But now the DVD driver is not listed anymore. Not even in the Device Manager. In the BIOS it is still visible. What should I do?

I have a Toshiba Notebook Satellite L550D-13V.
The drive is an TSST cddvdw I633c

See if you can find the drivers on the official website http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/generic/SUPPORT_PORTAL/

Thanks for your reply. But no, there is no driver for my drive there.
But I loaded a driver for my DVD drive on an other page. But it doenst work, because the drive is not detected :frowning:

I couldn’t find support on Toshiba’s website for your L550D. Are you sure its a L550D? It’s not listen up. Look for further model numbers around the computer tags. Check here for a list of driver downloads for your model. Once you find it there will be a list of firmware downloads for your DVD drive.

I’ve been on every Toshiba page. There are drivers for my system, but none for my dvd drive :frowning: I sureley looked for the correct model
