freezing, Ctrl +Alt +del not working, mad!

:mad: Hi all, first post - I read some of your archives while surfing for a solution to a computer crashing/freezing problem I am having since buying a new computer (which is 6 months older now & still doing it).

I’ve looked in the error logs (I’ve included some examples at the end of this post) crypt32 failed, DCOM errors & fault buckets are happening daily

The most annoying thing is I can’t do the ctrl +alt + delete thing - the screen just freezes & I have to switch my computer off at the wall about 3 X a day (my computer doesn’t have a reset button for some reason)

I read this problem might be something to do with the RAM memory ?

I’ve got all the latest patches from windows I’ve got firewalls/antivirus & hyjackthis to zap bugs with - any suggestions as to what causes it & a possible solution would be appreciated (before my machine fries itself:(

It could be RAM, but it could be the CPU getting too hot as well. Of course, if it’s only 6 months old, I’d be taking the issue up with the manufacturer simply because it shouldn’t be doing that in the first place.

It’s also possible that the OS had some problems installing, which would have you off to a bad start to begin with.

Again, I would take this up with the manufacturer, as it should still be under warranty.
I wouldn’t have waited six months if it were doing this type of crap. I’d have waited maybe a week at most. The warranty’s there, so you might as well make use out of it. :wink:

Yeah, I’ve still got the receipt somewhere… came with a years warranty…mmm, best back up my files & stuff, hop in the car with it :smiley:
