Gaming CPU

I’m building a new gaming rig, but I’m completely stuck on which processor to buy, so I thought I’d ask you.
I’m going to use the machine for gaming only really (apart from web browsing etc), and I have no AMD/Intel preference. The only that limits the choices is my £170 budget for a processor.

P.S., would rather save as much money as possible, without getting stuff like E5200/E7400’s :stuck_out_tongue:

Intel Q6600 2.4ghz D0 Stepping SLARC about £170 core 2 quad 4mb L2 cache and 1066mhz system bus. It’s an excellent overclocker easily get 3.2ghz out of it @ system bus frequency 1600mhz. Socket 775. 65nm.
