Hi

I currently have a Nvidia Geforce FX5200 graphics card which is ok pretty good but i need a faster smoother running card at high quality settings on games like doom3 etc..

Can anyone suggest the best card for up to £100 ish ???

Yeah, that’s a beefy card for the money.
As long as you have a good enough power supply to run it, it’ll be good.

If you want that card from microdirect… i would grab it fast as there seems to be a mispricing! its only a pound more than the 256MB version!

I say go with the 120pound 6800GS, trust me it’s worth the extra cash. If you can’t afford it the X1600 will do nicely.
