Help RAID0 power off issue!?

Hey guys this is my first post.
Well I am having a strange problem. I recently went from running only xp just fine on Raid0 to completely reinstalling xp with vista on my raid0. Everything was fine until I completely shut down the computer, doesn’t matter how I just it down just that its off, I go to turn it back on but it doesn’t show the raid but two separate hard drives with raid on each but the raid itself failed.

This is what it shows in the raid bios after complete shut down and start up again:
RDD0:GRAID 0-Stripe 159 GBFailed 0?
RDD1:GRAID 0-Stripe 159 GBFailed ?1

But for whatever reason I had left my gigabyte chipset utility cd in the cd rom tray. So with no raid it booted up from the cd. It did the Xpress Recovery2 I then rebooted and my raid0 was back up and running and I can get into xp and vista. So if I turn off my computer that’s how I am able to load back into vista/xp…weird. BTW I can restart the comp as much as I want with no problem so some kind of power issue? I did check and I do have my hdd settings to optimized for performance with write caching on the disk.

Heres my specs:

Gigabyte 965P-DS3
E1260 (@2.8Ghz)
2 gigs Corsair CMX-6400C4
2 80 gig Seagate-st380815as in Raid0

your bios has been reset

enter it and enter advanced settings i fink, then IDE xxxxxxxxx cant remember off top of my head and enable raid on the sata ports your hdds are connected to

Nothing in my bios was reset for the raid, it still shows it as raid/IDE for my drives. The only thing is my raid worked fine with only xp installed then as soon as I installed vista the raid goes out at power off. I dont know how vista could mess with a raid controller very odd.
