Hi,
I recently bought a secondhand computer and i’ve been having trouble getting it to start. The computer is a Dell Dimension 3000 with 2x1GB 400mhz RAM not sure what speed the CPU is but it is a P4. The motherboard model is a DELL E210882.
The problem is i have nothing appear on the screen when i start up the computer. everything appears to powerup but there is no signal going to the screen. I know the computer worked before I bought it all that has changed is the HDD. I have tried different screens and cables but yet no success.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try removing one memory chip , then switching them to see if it is one of them.. Next , no video means two things… Video adapter is bad, Or the motherboard..
try another video card too see if that helps…
thanks will try d RAM ASAP. the video is integrated but i dont hav another video card. will let you know wat happens with d RAM ASAP

Did someone have a video card in it? You may need to reset your CMOS. Your VGA may be set to go off an AGP/PCI-Ex card isntead of the integrated.
no it win an office, I did however reset the CMOS but htere still has been no improvemment. i’m starting to look at repolacement motherboards.

I also forgot to say, i tried changing the RAM around, even tried replacing with an equivalent stick. Thanks
