Budget is $$$250 i need the best 3 parts or the best 2 what should i pick quanity of items or quality and get 2 of these new upgrades that i want.

PARTS IM UPGRADING — please help me decide the best upgrade for my pc.
CPU - intel pentium 4 2.4ghz
Video Card - geforce 5900xt
Ram - around 1.3 gigs of memory

processor is good choice but it’s bit expensive $167.99? for a core 2 duo.
Video card probably get a Nvidia 8800GT for around $80
Ram need’s upgrading to around 2GB but find out the maximum memory bus frequency of your motherboard before buying it, dual channel perfferably if your motherboard supports it.

hey thinks for the info. so looks like i need a good motherboard or getting good ram would be pointless. whats a good cheep motherboard that allow me to get full use out of the E8400, and some good ram.

What motherboard have you got? what OS are you using?
