Hi I'm new

Hi, I’m Carol
I have a problem with my computer and I am hoping someone can help me.
When I first boot my PC up, I get a message saying CMOS BATTERY IS LOW - it then proceeds to boot up but I have to reset date, time and other things. How can this be rectified and what does it mean? Any help would be appreciated… Thanks!

Simply replace the Battery!
It should be a CR2032 or equivalent and once replaced set the date, time and BIOS settings as necessary!

The easiest thing to do is get a new cmos battery. THe Cmos battery is what powers the internal clock and the computers startup settings when the computer is off. all you have to do is open the case, find the little round battery and pull it out. It should have some numbers on it denoting the type of battery. You can get those batteries almost anywhere. ( i think walmart would have them.)
