How do i know if i have PCI Express or not?

I bought my Dell Desktop around this time in 2006. The Chipset is Intel Grandstale.

The reason i ask is because i want to buy a 8800GT, and thats not happenin unless i have PCI-Express.

I would think that i would have PCI-E because it was introduced in 04, but i’m not sure.

help would be appreciated.

You could take the side of you case off and have a look at this image:

of if you are uncomfortable removing the side / lid just download and run PCWizard

Okay thanx guys. I used PC Wizard and it says i have two PCI-E connectors.
