How to change DMA Mode of a Hard Disk

i want to know, that how to change the DMA mode of a HardDisk.

i am using Windows XP Professional Edition

You should be able to change it in the BIOS under Peripherals > IDE function setup or something similar!
Some BIOS’s call it PIO mode instead of DMA mode!

Mode 0 - 16.7 MB - PIO 0 3.3 MB
Mode 1 - 25.0 MB - PIO 1 5.2 MB
Mode 2 - 33.3 MB - PIO 2 8.3 MB
Mode 3 - 44.4 MB - PIO 3 11.1 MB
Mode 4 - 66.7 MB - PIO 4 16.6 MB
Mode 5 - 100.0 MB
Mode 6 - 133 MB
