Now what do I start with ? Im a complete PC building NOOB. I am very mechanically inclined though . -A
you need a:
motherboard (M/B)
memory (RAM)
graphics card (VGA)
monitor (either CRT or LCD)
proccessor (CPU)
heat sink and fan (H/S)
case with Power Supply Unit (PSU)
hard disk drive (HDD)
usual optional extras:
cd/dvd drive (sometimes refered to as: optical drive)
speakers
sound card
floppy drive (FDD)
basically if it fits then its probably ment to be
and you get all screws the and stuff with the M/B usually, there are many different options/opinions as to which item on the abov list is best, but it’s down to the individual, any questions, just ask.

A couple of links to get you started. It’s not had, if you know how to use a screwdriver and know to take care, you’ll be fine.
One tip, either buy an anti static wristband or touch the case every couple of minutes to get rid of static, you don’t want a pile of shiney, new but dead parts.
First Q . My GFX card has 2 power cords , do I need to plug both in ? If so can they be plugged into the same cable ? It is a BFG 7800 GT
Nevermind it is up and running and kicks butt. Thanks guys .
