IBM Thinkpad Probably dead

Hi guys

Would be grateful if someone could shine some light on a problem with my IBM Thinkpad.

Everything starts OK but opening page shows Error Message “0177:BAD SVP data, stop POST task” and thats as far as I can go.:doh:

If you only have bad news I can take it, but I would love to take the thing to bits and repair it :smiley:

According to this page, the error code means that the System board/motherboard is faulty and needs to be replaced.
