Hi all. I have an external 100MB Iomega Zip Drive that is hooked to an Akai MPC2000xl (music equipment). I plugged it in today after using it very little over the past three years and as soon as I plugged it in it started clicking. Even before I put a disk in it was clicking. When I put a disk in it continues to click and not read the disk. Also the MPC says that it does not detect a SCSI device.
I’ve read about the click of death that Iomega zip drives experience and I was wondering if this is most likely what it is? Also would it be this clicking that is causing my MPC to not detect the drive?
