Jack of all Trades Monitor Part 2 (LCD edition!)

Here we go again. ProcalX convinced me that LCD’s were now becoming worth the extra price tag so I’m looking into those now. I’ll need the monitor to have it all, it has to have at least a 16ms response time, needs to be 17+ inches, should look at least sort of cool, and should be able to change resolutions without any distortion (and justify its extra price over a CRT).
Here’s a list of LCD’s that fit at least some of the criteria. Most are kind of cheap and I don’t want to buy crap. I also can’t tell if they support multiple resolutions (w/o distortion) obviously so I could use a little help. Much appreciated.

also have read the reviews @ Z365 I think this should help you the most.

Thanks Sniper, the Samsung 172x does look pretty nice. That would be a really awesome monitor. I like the BenQ because of it’s really fast 8ms responce time and great price but I can’t see it working well under multiple resolutions as they don’t specify any of it’s specs below like most of Neweggs monitors. When I get the money I’ll look into the Samsung for sure. Thanks again dude.

I looked things over and decided that there’s actually no way I’ll come up with $350 plus $25 or so for shipping before I turn 16 and go to California with a friend in June. So I looked at more buget friendly monitors that still fit my demands. I found a lot actually but I didn’t want to spend a whole lot on something that wasn’t worth the extra cash. I think that things look fine on my 15" CRT but I want a bigger screen and superior image quality (compared to a CRT), see what you think. (The price increases with each link). Thanks.

I’d go for the first LG you listed http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=24-005-019&depa=1 for that money I think its very good value, plus it looks good and has a very good response time @ 16 ms!
