Hello everyone. I have had a HP-Pavilion Dv6 for about a a year and 3 months and this laptop had broken a long time before but since it was not my computer it was my sisters she did not send it in to HP and ran out of warranty. When you turn on the Laptop the caps lock button blinks constantly without stopping but the screen remains blank.
What I tried: Removing excess power by holding the power button and then try to turn it on with charger and still same problem.
I’ve connected it to a external monitor..nothing.
Tried connecting HDMI with TV and nothing.
I read around forums and took note of others with the same problem and claimed to be getting the problem from a faulty GPU. I bought the computer a new motherboard and installed it so I won’t have to reball and reflow the GPU and once I reconnected everything the computer still had the same problem!
So, I need help to try and find the problem on this laptop. How can I know if its the CPU not responding or dead since I used the same CPU and had the same problem?
