I’m planning on buying this mouse but I’m not exactly sure…
Has anyone tried it out? Since it’s wireless, does it lag in games?
A few reviews I read say it doesn’t lag, they say it’s the same as an USB mouse, but I need confirmation.
Any info or a little review from some who have been using it would be much appreciated!

I haven’t tried the wireless version, but the standard version of the same mouse is excellent. In fact, it’s the best mouse I’ve ever used. However, I’m not a big fan of wireless peripherals, since I prefer reliability. But any wireless device will be fairly decent as long as it’s RF and not line-of-sight.
If I had the money I would buy the wireless version I have read good reviews about it. its allot more accurate because it uses laser beam to measure the surface, which means you can use the mouse on more surfaces that usual e.g. glossy paint finish etc

What!? There is a non-wireless version of it?
Why isn’t it on the official Logitech website?

The MX500 is the non-wireless version of the same mouse.
I have 510. It’s totally different, what are you talking about?
510 doesn’t have laser!

Whoops, sorry, had it confused with a non-logitech product. But the MX5x series is still excellent, at 400DPI (most optical mice are 100-200DPI) and around $35. But the MX5 series still uses beam, not laser. The MX1000 has a DPI resolution of 8,000(!)… I’d go for it, if you can afford it.

Yes, MX5x0 is excellent, but MX1000 is supposed to be better.
My only concern about it is FastRF, is it really as good as USB?

Well, it is very fast. It works almost as fast as a hard-line connection, and there is no human-perceivable latency. However, if you live/work in an area with abnormally high RF interference, you might have some serious problems with it. But that would have to be an extreme case, like working in a manufacturing plant with machines that emit high-frequency IF interference, or living across the street from a radio tower.
And I LOVE it!
It’s the best! There’s no delay or anything. Just like a corded mouse. At least it feels that way for me. lol
I play games such as CS: Source with no probs, just as it were before.
The batter is very good, I use the mouse most of the day, and it is still more than half full! It recharges pretty fast too.
The only thing that bothers me a bit, as with any mouse, that the tilt wheel isn’t recognized in games.
But a nice utility I found makes the tilt wheel usable in any game or program. It’s called LogiGamer It’s useful for all Logitech mice.
I don’t have any icemat.
Never had one for an optical mouse. But I might get one… Saw a nice glowing one from Sharkoon.
My table is already a bit damaged, lost it’s color from all the mouse movement.
As for the keyboard, I don’t know…
They’ll probably release something, but don’t know when.
