Hi friends,
I have a desktop PC (Compaq Presario) that it is just loosing the video signal and the pc seems to freezes.
What is happening is that sometimes the display goes black but all the fans and lights are still on. The HDD seems to be stopped, so I think that the whole PC is frozen.
The big problem is that this doesn’t happen always..just whenever it wants and its really hard yo hunt.
Any idea of how can I start to pinpoint this issue?

The first thing I would do is check your memory and also you cooling solutions, i.e. CPU and general system.
To check your RAM for errors rum memtest, just google for it.
Did you build your own or did you buy the PC ready made?
What type of video card are you using, and what drivers?

Well, I already did a mem test…it came clean.
The video is on-board.
I finally decided to replace the MB and so far so good!..The problem was there…well, hope so
