Lost sound

Hi, I have a C-Media AC97 audio device which seems to have stopped working and I now have no sound. Any ideas how this can be fixed or where I can go to get a free download of a driver update. Many thanks

Tony

Have you tried reinstalling your drivers through Device Manager?

You’ll have to find out which C-Media chip you have, but you can download the drivers straight off C-Media’s website.

You can also download a program called (Belarc or Everest )
They are hardware identifiers, they will tell you all about what is in your computer.
