MB/CPU or something, *very* sensitive to touch

Hello,

I have a very annoying problem with my PC.

First the history :

2 months before I sent my tower (with everything inside) as a parcel to another home. When I received it there, it was in a very bad shape : screws were broken, half PSU was inside the box (2 screws broken), a SATA port on the MB had broken, the CPU heatsink had fallen on the GFX card (2 screws broken) etc etc. But by miracle the PC worked normally up to this week.

Fast forward to now :

My computer suddenly started becoming VERY sensitive to touch. If I touch it/try to move it, unplug something attached to it, then it restarts & the bios settings and clock reset. A funny fact is that once I softly touched the heatsink & it went off (the PC), and after 5 secs I touched it again & went on.

Ok it’s probably the motherboard, but I just want to make sure if anybody thinks it’s something different.
If it’s the motherboard, it needs to be thrown in the garbage,right?

It sounds to me like one of those loose screws fell under the motherboard.
Pressure from the spring clips on the CPU fan will bow the motherboard slightly, heat makes it bow even further.
Try removing your hard drive from the case, then with the Drive in a safe place remove both covers from your PC and tap the steel plate your motherboard is affixed to and see if any foreign objects drop free.
Another quick fix is to check your add on PCI cards, Video if you have it, and make sure they are completely seated in the slots.
This is a very common issue with bent or broken Computer cases.

You’re the man, I opened the case & knocked the back side of the mobo a little bit, and now it seems to be stable..
