Medion E1312 ram upgrade?

Hey just got this new cool notebook from mediod and its great, screen size, speed etc all fantastic!!

but i wanted to put more ram in it, now normally this would be an easy task, but there is no easy back plate to get to the ram i have to take the entire back off, that i cba doing yet, so i wanted to see if there was any programs that could tell me what was underthe hood, how many ram slots i have / in use / hiow many sticks i could use,so i have uploaded 2 screenys one of cpu-z and one of everest:

so going off these i have 4 ram slots 3 free, and they will only take a max of a gig each?

so all i need is 3 sticks pc2-6400 gig ram?

is this right or does any one have any better programs to find this out?

and does any one know the best place to buy ram from that is not too expensive?

SiSoftware Sandra or 3D Mark will let you know how many slots you have/use.

If you want to buy RAM, do let me know. I have brand new RAM’s for Indian Rupees 1000/- each (1 GB module).

your correct you have 4 Dimms, but each Dimm will support more than 1GB of ram. judging from the screens you’ve got 1GB installed in Dimm 0, so basically your system is running in single channel configuration when it is most likely capable of dual channel configuration (twice the bandwidth). I cannot find specs on the laptop anywhere. I would just buy another module of ram DDR2 1GB rated at 800mhz (6400MB/s) cas timings 6-6-6-18 and voltage rated at 1.8v non-ecc unbuffered SODIMM ram. So basically your system will run in dual channel configuration and also won’t page file as much because it has more memory capacity to write more data to.
