Mother board cpu help!

Hi, I have a E machines 5220 PC With AL845GE Motherboard,
My Compter would not turn on, it was due to a faulty power supply unit, I replaced it and now my computer runs very slow on the internet.
I think it needs a new motherboard and cpu.

I would like to upgrade the mother board and cpu but i would like to keep all the other parts because everything else has reciently been upgraded, I have a 230g ide hard drive 1gb DDR memory

Please could someone recomend me a motherboard bundle that will work with my case and other components

Or better still a motherboard that would work with my computer that i could use my original emachines software with

heres a AMD quad core bundle from maplins comes with: motherboard, and AMD phenom quad core cpu and 2gb ddr2 also intergrated graphics.

I bought this bundle last year for my dad gotta say its pretty good for the money. its also micro ATX format so should fit a small case. but intergrated graphics is pretty crap so would buy a graphics card for it.

your current set up is old skool. only thing u will be able to use is your hard drive, opticle drives and power supply unit depending on the power.
