ok since many of you heard a generic psu blew out my motherboard and or possibly processor so my mom chipped in and felt sorry for me and got me a sempron 64 2800+ from compusa ( spent too much but i cant complain although she couldve saved 25 on newegg but doesnt like online shopping)
Anyway im looking at a socket 754 motherboard jus a cheap one to hold me down until i get a A64 X2 or a 3800-4000 processor and motherboard and i have found 3 that im looking into i just need your opinions

anybody heard anything bad about these boards…i just want something to fill in with integrated graphis i saw a couple of ATI boards but ratings wasnt as good as Nvidia chipset
Haven’t really heard anything period about those boards. The brands themselves have been pretty positive, Biostar in particular, regarding the stability.
ATi’s Radeon Xpress chipset isn’t a mature product yet, and with the nForce 4 out for so long with so many driver updates behind it, anything less than absolute perfection is going to look bad for ATi. However, some of the USB 2.0 issues are real.
