Motherboard compabilty

Hi All,
Recently I have changed my mothrboard and ram. After this my computer runs too slow in multitasking environment. Also I am facing sound related problem. When I play music only(i.e no other work in computer) it works fine. But in multitasking environment when I play music along with other work(like copying file, ziping files etc..) sound becomes distorted or scratchy. What I should do to overcome this. While I have installed all drvers software.I have installed updated Avast antivirus.I want to know whether this problem is related to compability problem. Is new motherboard and ram compatible with old processor.

My system configuration is:

If you have a floppy or usb flash drive, download a copy of Memtest86. This will check to see if you have any RAM issues. It needs to be run through a flash drive or floppy disk during boot up. Give it time to scan, it’ll take a while.

You know your configuration but your processor doesn’t! Cause he need some time to accomodate with your new cards. That is my opinion.
