Hey,
I recently acquired a pc… here are the specs;
485Mhz processor
125Mb RAM
8MB graphics card
floppy drive, CDRW, modem, sound card
It’s currently running XP, with no updates cause it seems to be a pirate version.
Any ideas on whether this pc can actually do ANYTHING useful for me?
or shall i just cannibalise it? :devil:
EDIT: It’s also in a humungous metallic case that takes up 10% of my room

Cannibalize. Definitely. I’d take all the parts, line em’ up… and :sniper: them all to bits bro!
I think the best thing you can do with that PC is play minesweeper; Pinball might lag on you

perhaps you could use the cpu chip as a key chain??? :chk:
I agree, That machine should of never had XP on it, BUT- that PC would of run real good with a small distro of LINUX on it, like DSL Linux or Puppy Linux…

I have no idea about other OS’s apart from windows (shame on me).
it could still run just without a CDRW or floppy, but i suppose it would be a bit hard to clear the HDD or install a new OS without a D:\ drive.
And besides my current budget for doing anything this month is £0.00.
