I just got a new computer with an optical mouse. When the computer shuts off, it goes into sort of a sleep mode, but the optical mouse light doesn’t shut off. Is it ok for it to be on? I believe it is an LED and they dont’ really burn out frequently. Thanks.
I had one that did that, and now my logitech mx500 doesn’t do it.
Not sure why, I wouldn’t worry about it though. If you’re worried just turn the psu off and press the power button (of your pc) a few times, it’ll drain the energy left in the capacitators.
Don’t worry about it, I have 3 optical mice and they all have the led flash when not in use.
Might drain abit more juice but if you use rechargable batteries it shouldn’t be too big of a deal.
