I’m building my new computer right now, and can’t seem to get any monitor response from it. Everything is set up fine, all fans are running and the LED on the motherboard is on. I’ve tried multiple monitors but can’t get the thing to work. Any help?
Hey Cooper, Have you reset CMOS and tried putting the ram in different slots?
Also, could you post the hardware specs. ?
Pentium 4 2.8ghz
512 DDR RAM
Radeon 9800pro
80 gig Maxtel HD
ABIT VT7 mobo
And how do I get into CMOS?
read your motherboard manual! it’s a jumper on your motherboard you have to short, you have to open your case and there should be pictures with your motherboard manual showing where it is
Nick get on AIM, it will be easier for me to talk to you.
You might also have to set certain fsb ranges with jumpers.
Yes, read the manual. The questions you have can be answered there, plus give you more information about the board.
Typically, the way to get into BIOS is by hitting [Del] during POST…basically when you’re booting up the system. Before monkeying around there, READ THE MANUAL. You can cause all sorts of hell if you start playing with settings and you don’t know what they are.
Ok well ninja fetus checked it out yesterday and he thinks I have a bad mobo, so I’ll play around with it for a couple days then I’ll try to return it.
