New Build Issues

hi, just building a new machine for myself and along the way have run into a few problems, it’s my first build so some things are bit difficult, specs:

AMD2 64 X2 3800+ Dual
ASROCK AM2NF4G-SATA2 Motherboard
Maxtor 200GB HDD x2
ATI X600 Pro 256MB
1CB Corsair (2x512mb)
500w PSU

I am still waiting for the RAM to come. The problem i am having is it wont POST, it shows no display at all. just wondering if you actually have to have ram in your pc in order to get a display on your monitor, seems like a stupid question to me but a just wont to make sure am not doing anything wrong.

the machine won’t POST without RAM, you’ll just have to wait for RAM to arrive.
