1)Yes.
2)You would have to remove the CPU’s heatsink and the CPU first, but there’s no soldering involved.
3.)No.
4.)Depends on your motherboard and what you have now.
5.)1GHz chips aren’t in production anymore, so the price can vary. I wouldn’t pay more than $50 for one.
you can’t add 2 CPUs in one motherboard, unless it’s physically possible where it has two slots or sockets. No, it’s not hard, maybe separating the fan from the CPU if the thermal paste has dried up, but other than that it’s only a matter of removing the fan then the CPU and then replacing it with the new one.
Can you give us your system specs and we might be able to help you choose an appropriate cPU for your system.
well right now for me its 2 in the moring but i will get some specs tormarro when i put the new one in dose it use slide in like ram or is there something else
dude. Take your pc to a shop (they know whats is happening). It wont cost that much to upgrade your cpu if you are looking at thet kind of range. It is risky doing it yourself if uve never done it before and have not seen anyone doing it before.
But if youre keen to learn to diy then sytem specs would be usefull as roy said.
