just redownloaded “add-repos” from http://www.hardwareforums.com/getting-most-mandriva-8119/ after doing a new install of mandriva
i left it installing and went out, upon returning, turned monitor on - and screen behaving like cable unplugged from grfx card,
pressed reset and booted as normal
download speed had reduced to zero, before i went out
how can i check that the update was successful ?
Try doing urpmi.update and see what repos are listed. If all of them are there, then do urpmi --auto-select to make sure that updates are applied.
i presume the update was not successful, heres the output of konsole: urpmi.update[root@localhost dave]# urpmi.update
the entry to update is missing
