I have recently rebuilt my pc (that I got from a supermarket for #600 in 2001…) with a new case/mobo/cpu/hard drive/graphics card and RAM. As you can see from my specs I have done so on the cheap…
Whilst this setup is a LOT better than my original PC, it is hardly mind-numbingly powerful. I mainly use the PC to work on music files and play Total war games. I am also obsessed with speeding up the boot time…
- What is the slowest thing about this PC? (please don’t say the chip!)
- Is it very bad to only be using 1 stick of RAM?
- Would I get a big improvement by upgrading to SATA hard drives?
- Would 50 pounds get me a significantly better graphics card (I have AGP and PCIe slots)?
