Nvidia GeForce FX5600 personal cinema problem

Hi,

I got a Nividia Geforce FX5600 personal cinema graphics card which comes with a RF remote control.

The problem i am having is that the graphics card is installed and working correctly the software for the remote control is installed.

Windows XP detects the RF receiver for the remote control and windows hardware says that it is working but when i goto use th remote no functions work on it at all

Please Help

When troubleshooting, always check the obvious possibilites first. In other words, does the remote have power? Try new batteries. A while back, I had a Live Platinum with a remote. It came with batteries, but they were DOA.

was brand new batteries out of a shop today, check them on multimeter checked out ok

light comes on on remote but doesnt do any functions, the the light is on, on the RF receiver box.

does the RF receiver blink in anyway to show that its receiving the signal from the remote? if not? could be faulty?

hmmmmm its possible cant find any information on its function as it was supplied with a new computer.

I have also a problem with my remote ( i think is the same model from X10) that cames with Chaintech AGP-FM6P ( nvidia FX5600 ) .
I’m running win2000 SP4 , the remote is operional only for nvDVD and for watching DVD’s ( can’t operate at VCD )
Anyone knows a workaround for making it operate with powerDVD or something ?

just make sure that the remote is programmed for that device if not go to the manufacturers website and see if you can program it, if not then the device is a faulty one, there is not to many options as far as a remote goes
