OK enough hoo haaing around with this dumb stock heatsink and increasing temps. Lets just get a new kick ass one im thinking to myself. List em up people. What coolers do ya recommend? For a AMD ATHLON XP 3000+ Socket A. :good: I got crap loads of arctic silver 5 kicking around (I know i only need a bit i just seem to aquire this stuff) so im gonna use that instead of AMD’s whimpy thermal pads. (The root of my problem i feel).

my friend has the zalman, had some probs with noises from the heatsink tho

The Thermaltake SilentBoost seems to be a pretty nice cooler. I’ve got the K8 version myself, but I believe the SB that was linked is pretty much the same thing with some minor variations.
