My board is maxed-out as far as installing a faster CPU is concerned (so I’ve been told). However, I would not mind trying a modest overclock to try to get a bit more speed out of the processor.

keep in mind that the athlon x’s dont have a built in temp sensor so if it gets too hot, then it will just burn out rather than switching off.
you should be able to get a few hundred mhz out of it if your board can take it and if you get better cooling
