PC help please

I recently built a new PC and I am having a problem with it. When I shut the PC down through Windows XP, it goes off as it should. However, after approximately 2 to 3 minutes it restarts again by itself, as if I had switched it on. Obviously the only way to stop it restarting is to unplug it. Have I set the computer up wrong? I have built a number of PCs in the past and have not encountered this problem. The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 Pro-G 2004 GT Edition with Intel 865 chipset. P4 3.0GHz 478 processor, 74GB Western Digital Raptor h/d, 1GB ddr 400 memory (single stick). Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Off-hand the only thing that comes to mind is a BIOS setting that controls when the PC would turn on automatically. I can’t really think of where that’d be, but I’d check that.

Another thing that can cause a computer to turn on is through a LAN wake-up. But its probably the BIOS.
