…bought a firewire card today for my other PC.
Upon putting it in the PCI slot, booting up and attaching my iPod, nothing happened.
The pod started to charge, but my PC did not detect it. Nothing in Hardware Manager.
Any suggestions?
I’m yet to try it in another slot, but I’m gonna do that now.
Yeah, that was what I was gonna suggest. You might check the mobo manual and see what onboard devices share an IRQ with what PCI slots.
Nope, that didn’t work.
It’s odd - the pod charges, but it is just not being detected.
Might try giving Apple a call.
did you get any drivers with it m8? if so try installing them forst then put the card in that sometimes works better than after installing the card. hope this helps Dave. :good:
