i was just thinking about this the other day and i realized that a lot of mobos are ugly or have weird color schemes. for instance evga, they have a stylish logo but their board are just not pretty and don’t match the color scheme of their logo. also a big name brand like asus, my friend has a lan party asus board and its mostly not very appealing. But i have noticed gigbyte makes good lookin boards. just a random thought any other “pretty” boards you guys can think of or manufactures?
Yeah, Gigabyte, as well as MSI, tend to have the best-looking motherboards. They make use of a lot of colors, but the way they’re used makes them easy to figure out what goes where. I think ECS, Biostar, and Abit have some of the fugliest color schemes. Abit’s getting better, but I still can’t stand their puke-orange PCB.
yeah, who cares if it works or not, so long as it looks good, never really cared bout performance anyway
used to have a lover-ly red board it was bootiful, probably still kicking around in spare room (i mean junk room, weird but does every house have a junk room, or am i the only one who says F:swear: it, put it in there)
Yeah, GigaByte and MSI have the best looking boards.
Albatron also have some nice looking boards.
True. I’m not crazy about the yellow and orange UV plastic on my LanParty Ultra-D, but, dammit, the board’s been working strong for a full year. Asus doesn’t give a rip about color and usually uses the tan PCB’s, but, y’know what? I’ve had great experiences with Asus boards (their A7V got me into overclocking \m/)…so, yes, I agree: looks don’t mean a damn thing if the board is a piece of crap. Fortunately, you can get a good board that looks good too these days.
MInes ASUS and a pukey orange/brown colour but meh it does the job. Oh at the best boards I have seen are MSI
