Problem with CD Drive

Hello,

I’m not very good with CD Drives. I have a Windows XP home edition. My CD Drive is LITE-ON DVD+RW SOHW-822S and it came with the computer. The manufacturer is

Hewlett-Packard
Pavilion
AMD Athlon™ XP 3000+
2.10 Ghz, 448 MB of RAM

I had troubles recently on my CD Drive. It could play DVDs but not CD’s. So I uninstalled the CD Drive, and I was going to install it again. But the problem is i don’t know how to install the cd drive.

Any help would be appreciated.

What did you mean with “you uninstalled the drive”? Did you remove it from the list of hardware manager? If yes, then just rightclick anywhere on that list, and click on “Scan for hardware changes”.
