Problem with old CRT Optiquest Q41 (ViewSonic)

Hi

I have got an Optiquest Q41 (December 1998, I know its quite old:)). The screen is totally white even when the computer is switched off. And when I switch it off it makes a sort of rainbowish colour blob at the centre of the screen. Could someone tell me what the problem is? I have even uploaded the video.



P.S. Please do not give me replies to by a new CRT or LCD since they are extremely expensive in India.:slight_smile:

I am afraid you need Another Monitor, it sounds like the monitor is going out. All most any time you see rainbow colors coming from any TV/monitor means it is on its last leg…
Maybe you can find another used monitor…
