Processor update?

I’m new to this forum:
Can anyone help?
I have a pc with a 640 mhz Pentium III processor, I got the Sims2 game for Christmas and I’ve discovered it won’t run on my 640 pc and the game calls for 800 Mhz and above.
Is there a way I can findout if it can be upgraded the pc and to what the highest speed?

You’ll need to buy a new processor.

I don’t know if you’ll be able to buy a pentium 3 chip anymore easily, and the power of the chip is so limited to todays hardware.

It is likely you will need to by a new chip and a motherboard, which probably means a new psu as well, and maybe RAM.

So look for a pentium 3 chip on the net, or from ebay and see if you can get one that meets the needs.
