I have a PX-716A DVD±RW drive which suddenly stopped reading any DVD movies. It will read my Battlefield 2 DVD-ROM, but not a movie. Whats up with that? I get 2 amber flashes repeated when inserting a DVD movie, which means there is an auto adjustment failure. - Cannot read a stamped disc or initialize a CD-R/RW disc because the drive cannot properly configure the focus and track adjustment settings - Anyone know why my drive would act up suddenly like this? I tried restarting, reinstalling the drive. Its still giving me the same problem. What to do!!
i dont know what the problem could be but you can try contacting the manufacturer about it, or you could take/send it back to where you bought it from and maybe they could replace it!
I figured out the problem. Since i use DAEMON tools, i had to turn on all Emulations for my drive to read the movies. How dumb of me..
thats ok, but maybe you could of mentioned that before?
Dangit. Apparently only turning on the emulations for DAEMON tools let it read 1 dvd-movie. Back to square 1. I removed DAEMON tools along with other DVD-ware. And it still wont work. My comp hates me..
