RAM - Different Capacities, different Frequencies - compatible?

I suppose this is a dumb question, but i need to be clear on this.
I used to have a Samsung DDR SDRAM 256MB (I bought it way back in 2001 I can;t remember if its PC2100, or any other). Now i got myself another chip Samsung 512MB PC3200 CAS3.0 - I put them together and it works, I have 768MB in total. So chips are of same Vendor, but different capacities and frequencies → is this likely to cause me any problems?

no they’ll work fine. Just don’t try and dual channel them. That won’t work.

Obviously pairs are better but its all good.

Your bus will only work at 1 speed, usually the speed of the slowest module.

Thanx, guys! I Appreciate it. :good:
