Raptor causes IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

I’m not a super computer expert, but one thing is sure. I’m a hardcore hardware fan. (I’m sick) I post Corsair and Patriot Memory ads w/ pictures on my wall locker instead of ladies pictures (is that right?) Never mind…

I have a problem with my beautiful 36G raptors…

They crash whenever I run an .exe on them. I can access them. I can read/write. But I cannot run apps. Every time I run an app like microsoft office, borland JBuilder or InteliJIdea, battlefield2 or even winrar. Bingo!

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL BSOD

I’ve read a couple forums around this site. But did not see one that said that this error was caused by raptors. Instead by memory or anything else. However, it is only when I access the raptor, or sometimes try to run roxio DiscImage (which addresses ISO’s located in a USB drive) that i get the BSOD.

What’s the specs of this system?

try disabling all onboard device, start with the USB i would also try a know good PSU

The IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error is caused by a buggy device driver or an actual hardware conflict. If you’ve recently added new hardware to your system, try removing it and see if the error goes away. Likewise, if you’ve recently loaded a new device driver, you might try using ERD Commander Professional Edition, by Winternals Software, to temporarily disable the new driver and see if the problem goes away.
